I mean they are just so full of like lies and crap it ticks me off. I was watching the Daily Show last night and granted that's not the most reliable news source but they still have recent news and you can put your own thoughts to it. Regardless there is a thing that was released to the public showing how Bush wanted to go to war regardless of any type of provoking. Had 9/11 and stuff never happened we still would've invaded Iraq. The memo even mentioned painting colors on a spy plane in hopes it would be shot at so we could have a reason. But then in Bush's speeches he's always like I never want to choose war, we were provoked. No F that Bush, you're an idiot and you have been lying to this country. Our country is so full of just crap people running it. This site is called STLPunk.com. The band I used to be in used it for our shows to promote and such. It also allows you to see what concerts are going on all over the STL areas from small venues to big shows. It's definitely the best band promoting device in St. Louis and I give the guy running it mad props for running it. I think it's an awesome site and very easily navigatable. If anything check it out and see if you can listen to some bands you may be interested in. It's a awesome way to spread the St. Louis scene and get some bands recognition for sure!

love,
agent schnozz

Straight Edge XXX

What is straight edge you ask? Well if you want the hardcore definition it's being in the hardcore music scene, listening to hardcore music as well as not putting any poisons into your body such as drugs and alcohol. Today the meaning has changed a bit. It doesn't so much involve the hardcore scene as much as just not drinking or smoking and doing drugs. It's how I have chosen to live my entired life. I've never touched alcohol or drugs before.

The advantage over being straight edge in my opinion is the fact you're never gonna do something really stupid because you're drunk or high. You'll never have to worry about being a drunk driver or finding a way home. There's just that much less stress on people. I am planning on getting a straight edge tattoo sometime soon to just show how proud i am to be straight edge. Don't plan on ever drinking or smoking ever in my life. I also know my brother is following in my footsteps and doesn't drink so that's a big win in itself. It was round 2. I was playin this bigger guy so we go in to play. I was kind of iffy cause like this dude had his own raquet and stuff i'm like this is gonna be great. He had definitely played before. His serves were hardcore for sure and he definitely had some aces on me at first. I started to pick it up though and had a 5-2 lead it carried on kind of back and forth. It then got to 14-12 me. I couldn't finish it off though. He came back adn we were tied. Went back and forth then he got a point. Then i got the thing but couldn't score then he ended up rackin 2 on me and I lost. It was a great game for sure. We definitely had some fast action goin back and forth. Tippin lost as well he said. So we're both out. I wonder how Simon did. Hopefully he won so atleast one of the BFF's can go on. I'm gonna buy him a trophy anyway if he won. If he didn't win then I"ll just buy Tippin and Simon Burger King. Joking, i'm too cheap for that! Anywho it was fun but I think I'm gonna have to hold a press conference soon and announce my retirement from raquetball. It's been good to me and it's a great sport I just think it's time to let the young guys take it over ya know. I will miss the sport deeply and it will forever have a piece of my heart.......well probably not but eh whatever.

love,
agent schnozz

Fruit Snacks Make The World Turn

So I sit here at my desk chillin eating me some Peach ring gummy things. I gotta say Gummies are completely reliable for your hunger issues. I mean first off they taste freakin great and kind of take ya back to when you were a kid and you'd die to get a pack of fruit snacks. They also though fill you up. I guess the theory is that gummy products actually triple in size in your stomach which means that you feel way more full. You don't even have to eat that many to be like alright my hunger is gone. They got sour flavors, fruit flavors just all sorts of stuff. I say you should go to your local grocery store and buy a box of fruit snacks and just sit back and enjoy a pack. I mean knowing I have enough money makes me want to spend it on stupid stuff. I've done kind of good lately but it just is like ahhhh soo much to buy. I look all the time at awesome band shirts and clothes that are sweet. It's funny how I used to spend all my money on video games and such which i still spend some on video games but it's mostly like band shirts or stuff. I'm more into style and stuff it's kind of funny. I've never really been one who was intune with style and fashion. Kind of normally would be a day late ya know. Now I'm kind of caught up and like looking freakin sweet. I think I'm turning into a chick or something. I mean i just bought some new shoes the other day which puts me at a total of 5 pairs of shoes the most I think I've ever had. It's crazy. Anywho money rules but it is my arch nemesis as well. Now let me first off say that I believe in God and the whole concept of God and religion, taht i have no problem with. What does annoy me though is the thing with homosexual people and same sex marriage. What I want to know is if this God loved people and was so good then why does he have stuff against that. I mean isn't that intolerance. Is that something we want to point to our children that intolerance is acceptable. It annoys the crap out of me. I mean aren't we a sophisticated and advanced civilization that we can accept change. I mean it's adapting to changing things. There was things in previous times that are accepted now that was totally forbidden against then. Is this gonna be the same thing with this topic or is it going to always keep bringing our society down. It ticks me off for sure. Everytime I watch a live DVD of bands it makes me think why the heck am I not doing that. Living on the road would be so fun because you're playing shows every night and just chillin the rest of the day in different cities everytime. What a great way to see the world.

My goal is to get something serious going once I'm out of college. I want to get out and totally just find some people to go hardcore with in having a band. Playing as many local shows as possible to get a name out. It's all about promotion and having connections. Granted I'm not sure how many connections I have i know I can promote the crap out of something I really am dedicated to. You got those bands out there that all sound the same and go for this one genre. F that, I don't want a singer who is trying to follow the same voice as Hawthorne Heights. I want somebody with attitude and individuality. They gotta be able to sing but have their own style. I want to make songs that are challenging to me to play but fun. I know the next show I play I'm gonna have hardcore stage presence. Just give me the shot to get in a band. I plan over the summer/next year to play guitar on my big amp as much as humanly possible. I realized I"m way better when I play on my big amp compared to my little dinky one. Funny how that works. All I know is one day I'm gonna be in a band and I dont know if I'll ever hit it big but if I can just have a period in my life where I'm playing rock shows night in and night out I'd be totally happy.

Not being in a band is driving me crazy and it sucks that I have to wait 2 years to start something but once I save up money to buy a nice apple computer I can start recording stuff using Pro Tools. It'll be freakin on. I love music and I want to be a musician.

love,
agent schnozz

Singing The Blues In 2007??

So I'm a die hard St. Louis Blues fan anyone who knows me could tell you that. For those of you outside of life who don't know what sport I am talking about, it's the greatest sport in the world called Hockey! No other sport I think has more class than the NHL. I'm not talking about outside the sport with the whole lockout that occurred last season but the players are so much filled with pride for playing as well as history

So anyway, the St. Louis Blues are tied for the worst record in all the NHL. The lockout really hurt them as they lost Hall Of Famer defensemen Al MaCinnis to retirement, Pavel Demitra to free agency and traded away Captain Chris Pronger to Edmonton for some younger defensemen. As the season progressed it was apparent that the Blues were in a whole and had very little chance of competing with some of the big name teams in the Western Conference such as Colorado and Detroit. They began dumping the veterans close to the trade deadline. They traded Doug Weight to the league leading Carolina Hurricanes and Mike Sillinger to the Nashville Predators who will be making their strongest bid for the Stanley Cup in their short franchise history. On top of losing key veterans they've had to deal with injuries out the wazoo. Tkachuk spent a lot of time out with a wrist injury and recently Jackman was lost for the season with a broken jaw suffered in a fight against Darcy Hordichuk of Nashville. So the team has had their worst season in franchise history and will miss the playoffs for the first time in 25 years.

Me being a die hard Blues fan you still have to stick by your team through thick and thin. I have began to look towards next year to see what is on the horizon for the team. First they just sold the team and arena to Dave Checketts who is very excited about the teams future. The deal finally resolves a 10 month selling bid by pervious owners the Lauries. That insures the team will stay in the Lou till atleast 2011. Now that that's out of the way the Blues can look to picking rebuilding the team.

Already the Blues have some talented young prospects getting shots at some NHL experience as this season comes to an end. Players like Lee Stempniak, Jay McClement and Mike Glumac have gotten some good experience so far this season. Stempniak has 12 goals in 42 games and McClement has 21 points in 52 games. These players will hopefully play a larger roll next season but have some veteran players to back them up as well.

The goaltending situation has been a tricky one for coach Mike Kitchen. Patrick Lalime was brought over from the Ottawa Senators with high hopes but he has definitely had a rough season. The lack of defense doesn't help. Rookie Jason Bacashihua had an up and down season as well before getting injured. He would have a few great games but then follow up by an ugly performance. That's pretty much the pattern for the other two goaltenders, Reinhard Divis and Curtis Sanford. If one of these guys can step up the Blues will atleast have a better shot next season.

The Blues need to stay healthy and pickup some offseason veterans if they want any chance of contending for the Stanley Cup. They will need to start with Defense and move to offense. The defense has been an obvious fault this year and has set the team back many games by giving up many early goals.

With the moves made this season dumping veterans the Blues are well below the cap and will have some room to make some big money signings over the offseason. They also need to focus on developing draft picks as well. This is a season many Blues fans would like to forget but staying positive and supporting the team will allow us to do our part for this team to succeed. Start filling up Savvis Center again. Get the environment we had before the lockout when we went to watch a talented, cup contending hockey team. Remember to look in the mirror everday and ask yourself this question, "Do You Bleed Blue?" Let's Go Blues! Cupbound in 2007!

love,
agent schnozz

I'll Call It "The Aristocrats"

So I just got done watching the documentary "Aristocrats." I gotta say it wasn't too bad. I can't say I broke down laughing but I watched it by myself so that might've been why.

The film is about this single joke that flows throughout the comedy world. The joke begins in similar fashions like this:

"A family walks into a talent agency. It's a father, mother, son, daughter and dog. The father says to the talent agent, "We have a really amazing act. You should represent us."The agent says, "Sorry, I don't represent family acts. They're a little too cute."The mother says, "Sir, if you just see our act, we know you would want to represent us."The agent says, "OK. OK. I'll take a look."

From there on the joke is what you want to fill it with describing the act. The catch is to make it the most vulgar and disgusting act you can think of. You finish the joke by saying something along these lines

"For the longest time, the agent just sits in silence. Finally, he manages, "That's a hell of an act. What do you call it?"
And the father says, "The Aristocrats!"

The film goes from tons of different comedians big and small having them tell their own version of it as well as discuss how they learned about it. Bog Saget had probably the most humorous one, he's also known as one of the most obscene comedians. Kind of funny considering he was the good ol dad on the family show Full House.

The documentary is about an hour and 20 minutes and it's just discussing the history of the joke and it's significance. I think it would've been much funnier had I watched it with a group of friends. I would definitely recommend picking it up though because it is a funny film and hearing the different versions of jokes is pretty interesting. Featured comedians include; George Carlin, Bob Saget, John Stewart, Robin Williams, Lewis Black, Rip Taylor just to name a few. For anyone interest in the art of comedyI suggest atleast renting this one to see your favorite comedians give their own versions of the joke. I do warn you though this is not a film for young people. Some of the jokes are just totally out there and outrageous but that's the point of the jokes. Enjoy All.

love,
agent schnozz

I Need To Learn To Skateboard

So over the last like month or so I've been considering buying a skateboard and learning to skate. I used to have one but it wasn't a real one, it was one with the one end curved and the other end straight, kiddy one I guess. I think I could give it the time to atleast learn somethin. I mean it couldn't be a hard hobby as long as I'm not tryin to jump off buildings and break my face. Just skate around and just mess around.

I've been lookin at the prices and like for a complete board it's like $120 so that's not too bad. Definitely wouldn't buy one till after I got a job but just thought that it'd be somethin fun to mess with over the summer. Get me out of the house/apartment and stuff. Been checkin out decks on skateboard.com and they got some super sweet designs and stuff.

I figure next year when I'm in the apartment in my free time I will dedicate it to guitar inside and skateboarding outside. I don't want to get amazing at skateboarding or nothing but just give me somethin else to do and add to my ability list. I know I won't have a ton of time next year because I will be working and classes but just whatever free time I do have on a nice I can skate and then when I kill myself I'll come back in and play guitar. Cool right? We'll see. That's all.

love,
agent schnozz

P.S. There's so much wrong with it that just makes it annoying and overrated.

First off, the games are not up to par with the new system hype. Games like Madden and Tiger Woods were mediocre at best and lacked things like a franchise mode. You would think since EA is trying to take over sports games by buying rights to stuff they'd put some quality into a game. Wrong! Now they did release some good games such as Call Of Duty 2 and Morrowind: Oblivion have both been great.

Another issue is the freakin cost, I mean $60 for games?! How is a system gonna charge that much when you already have to pay tons of extra money for things like a hard drive and such. Microsoft is like bending people over and giving it to em good. I like the guy who the first day the 360 came out he bought one and then smashed it right in front of everybody. People like that deserve medals or their own islands, because that is freakin great.

So we also had the 360 hooked up to play online. XBox Live is a joke as well. We couldn't even get into a game. Everytime we tried it would take like 2 minutes and then say the game has already started wait for another one. Even when we went to quick match we got this. If you're gonna pay another like $60 for a year of online play and you only get on like once a day into a game then there's somethin wrong.

Overall I think the XBox 360 is a waste of money. There are already bugs that are in it which of course come with the early models but still you think with as much time they had to get this thing ready they'd make sure it was GREAT! I'm gonna wait for the PS3 to be released cause atleast they delayed it to fix bugs and probably won't try to rape their customers with crappy extra service that you have to buy along with the system. I don't recommend the 360 wait for Sony to release something WAY better.

love,
agent schnozz

P.S. Microsoft you let me down go buy a company or something.

Top 10 CD's To Go Buy

This is a list of my Top 10 cd's that you should definitely go out and purchase. I know a lot of people download music, but these cd's are worth every penny.

10) The Used - In Love And Death

This cd kicks off with a rockin song called "Take It Away" Definitely one of the best songs on the album. If you wanna kick your day off with some energy rock to this one. It's their 2nd cd and I think it's more creative than their first cd. The last song called "I'm A Fake" is amazing and I think it's my favorite song on the whole album. The cd has got lots of screaming but it mixes with some sweet softer instruments thrown in.

9) Letterkills - The Bridge

I first heard of this band when they were on tour with Story of the Year and Anberlin but didn't get a chance to see em live. I bought their cd in good hopes and was not let down. They are an underrated band I think and they definitely put out a great cd. Their singles include "Radio Up" And "Don't Believe" both good songs but the whole cd is pretty rockin. There are a few songs that slow the cd down but overall it's a friggin schweet cd.

8) Thousand Foot Krutch - Phenomenon

This is one of two christian bands on my list. I first heard of this band through the radio with their song "Rawkfist" so I got their cd and I listened to it for like 2 months straight I think. Every song on this cd has meaning and catchiness behind it. They are not as heavy as the bands on this list but they are a quality buy and you won't be letdown.

7) Green Day - American Idiot

This cd is pretty obvious because it was publicized sooooo much by everybody but with good reason. It's a great cd. People say it's too political for them but i don't mind it. I hate politics and could care less who's president and I still thought this cd ruled. There are some great songs on it that state opinions of the band but also that take Green Day in a new direction and a more mature type way. I think I like this cd over any of their previous ones. Pick this one up just for the sake of it being Green Day and it being their best album yet.

6) Dredg - Catch Without Arms

I took a chance with this band. I had not heard them at all but had heard the name a little bit and thought I'd give it a try. I was very impressed! They are different from the heavy stuff I listen to but they can still rockout. I mean they're on Taste of Chaos so they must have some energy. This cd is kind of a mellow cd but catchy. It's kind a different sound compared to the pop/punk bands you normally here who all sounds like Fallout Boy or Hawthorne Heights. Great cd with a unique sound that deserves your purchase for sure!

5) Anberlin - Blueprints For The Black Market

This is christian band number 2 and I gotta say the thing I love most about this band is their singer. He's got such a unique voice that doesn't sound like anybody else out there. They are amazing live and they have some super catchy awesome songs. They don't really scream but could hold their own energy wise. This is their first of 2 cd's and it got me hooked. The opening track "Readyfuels" is so rockin and it is a preview of the rest of the cd.

4) He Is Legend - I Am Hollywood

When I bought this cd I was blown away by the vocals as well. He Is Legend's vocals are filled with actually melody mixed with heavier screaming. They are heavy but not where it's annoying. They have a perfect mix of the two. I can put this cd in and rockout from start to finish. The last song on the cd "I Am Hollywood" is probably my favorite, it's the heaviest track but just gets the adrenaline pumping when you jam to it.

3) Story of the Year - Page Avenue

I first off have gotta say I love this band because they are hometown St. Louis guys and that alone is great to see some STL bands make it. This cd is probably my second favorite cd behind their newest one but I figured I'd put it three to give two different bands the top 2 and not do the same band in a row. This entire cd is AMAZING! The opening song "And The Hero Will Drown" kicks things off and it doesn't slowdown. The next 4 songs are just as great. There are some minor songs that don't seem as rockin but i still love and then there's a great melodic song called "Sidewalks" Great acoustics in it. Then it finishes strong with "Falling Down" with some helping vocals from the singer of Goldfinger, I still listen to this cd ALL THE TIME! BUY IT!

2) Anberlin - Never Take Friendship Personal

This cd is definitely better than their first cd. They are a little heavier and more mature sounding. They seem like they have better structure to their songs as well. The two best songs on the cd are "A Day Late" and "Time & Confusion" both songs are awesome. This band is still not real mainstream in sense of radio but have a great following and are kind of like an underdog band. Buy their cd cause they deserve it they're a great great great band!

1) Story of the Year - In The Wake Of Determination
This brings you to my number one pick. It's Story of the Year's newest cd and it is the greatest cd I have ever purchases and let alone ever heard. Starting off are the guitars. They are so much heavier and driven than with Page Avenue. There are more of solos and faster riffs. To pull it together are the power smashes of drums mixed with amazing vocals. The difference vocally with this one from the first is the heavier presence of guitarist Phillip Sneed. His high voice mixed with Lead vocals of Dan Marsela make this one rock. His voice is not like any other band out there which doesn't make a band great but is awesome providing so many bands sound alike these days. They made the cd they wanted to and every song on here is filled with energy and not about losing a girl or something sappy. They involve real topics. Song 12 "Is This My Fate" He Asked Them" Is such a rocking song. The opening guitar riff is so rad. It's got a great message buried into it too. BUY THIS CD NOW!! NOW!! NOW!!

So there are my Top 10 cd's to go buy. Get out there and purchase them they are all great cd's. Show bands some respect and purchase them. If you don't like any of the bands there then atleast BUY the cd's that you are big fans of. Show support. That's all for me. Later all.

love,
agent schnozz

What's the Deal with Agent Schnozz?

So the reason I chose this name is because of the crap I get from some friends of mine about my nose. Of course now I"ve told you all it's pretty easy to figure out when I am a secret agent. Keep on a lookout for my blogs and I will keep ya'll entertained. I wasn't too enthused to see it at first. It didn't seem like that great a movie according to the previews. Wow was I proven wrong.

I went thinking, eh atleast it's something to do tonight. The movie started and it was interesting from start to finish. The fight scenes were awesome as well as just the story in general. There was not a dull moment at all. Natalie Portman definitely did an awesome job as well. Totally forgot that she was the Queen in Star Wars. She shaved her head too. Crazy lookin.

The movie is about the future where the US is basically wasted and England is the leading power. People are kept under close observations. They are censored to a great extent. They have curfews and are not allowed to even say anything bad about the government. If they do they are pretty much "disposed" of. The hero here is the V for Vendetta character. He takes over a tv station and sends a message telling everyone to be ready a year from then on November 5, to take over. I'm not going to give away much from that.

If you want to see a movie soon I recommend this one. It was action packed and had an amazing story to it. The actors were great and it makes ya think that maybe the future could be like this if we let it get out of control. Now I gotta go cause I gotta find me one of those sweet masks from Ebay or somethin. Later.

love,
Agent Schnozz

P.S. This movie gets a hardcore 5 Stars!!
